Tvp hamburger Steak Shawns

3 Servings

1/2 Cup TVP
1/2 Cup water (or stock), Boiling
1/2 Small Onion, Chopped
1/2 Small Carrot, Chopped
1 Tsp garlic, Minced
3/4 Cup Bread crumbs
1 Tbl Parsley/Italian herbs
1 Tbl Ketchup
1 Tbl Soy sauce
1/4 Tbl Pepper

1) Re hydrate the TVP with the water, let it sit for about 10 mins.
2) chop onion and carrot add to pan with a splash of oil cook over
medium heat until onions are translucent and carrots are tender.
3) Add cooked veg to TVP and add in rest of ingredients, mix until
well combines and let the mixture sit for 10 mins, it should thicken
and hold together. If still too loose after 10 mins, add in more
bread 1 T at a time until it comes together.
4) Make Patties
5) Grease a pan of medium heat and cook until browned. (1-2 mins a
side)

As we're not vegan or anything I use stock, and also serve with a
typical brown gravy from a packet.
